When you think you know fish

Postby southfork » Fri Jul 10, 2015 11:30 pm

Had an odd experience a couple of Thursdays ago fishing Wylie that reaffirmed that fish sometimes march to their own drum. Had a friend fishing with me who does not fish much. Around 7.30pm I stop on a main lake point to fish a brush pile on the drop. Water is HOT and it was slick calm with no wind other than boat traffic. My buddy has a 1oz spinner bait with painted blades tied on. He throws it up on the bank and yells I got one. It was a 6.5 lber that was in a foot of water :) I was like WTH but happy he caught it. So you never know what they want
