Forage

Hey Rusty

When fishing Wylie how do you determine which forage you are trying to replicate ? I know there are bream, thread fin shad, gizzard shad etc. I realize if you are out offshore and they are busting it’s probably a no brainer but I am fishing from bank as you know. If it’s the shad spawn I guess they come shallow but not sure ?

And I get that bream will try and eat the eggs of spawning bass right ?
Basically just trying to figure out which forage would be best to replicate to consistently get more bites on Wylie.
Thanks as always and hope your good

RIchard, sorry for the later response. if youre fishing at night i dont think it matters as much, its more about vibration/water displacement. during the day/light i try to match colors to which baitfish im mimicking. hope that helps
